Imagine an outsize parasol planted in an African village. By day, it offers shelter from the sun: by night, it sheds light for the local community using the energy collected in solar cells embedded in its canopy. It's clever, it explores a new role for textiles, and it shows concern for the planet. In short: an eco-friendly solution to a pernicious modern problem.

"...'Flow' is an installation composed of used sanitary equipment of the sort found in nearly any home in the developed world today. The objects are arranged so that water runs gently and sonorously through them in a circuit, as in a fountain, while human figures are projected into the equipment as in a water-park. These figures are being swept along against their will by the water’s current...."
