Night Bright

Night Bright is an interactive installation of nocturnal discovery where children use their bodies to light up the nighttime forest and discover the creatures that inhabit it. Listening to the creatures' sounds children can locate them in the forest, as they play a nighttime game of hide and seek.

Music video for image synthesis (Louis Dufort) and percussion (Philip Hornsey). The piece got presented at MNM festival 2009 smcq.qc.ca/smcq/en/, was produced as concert by ECM+ ecm.qc.ca/index.php?lang=e&fsrc2=/
and the Montreal Conservatory of Music as part of a thematic concert around the Monarch Butterfly.

"Finding a musical juxtaposition between trying to create security and finding one’s place, Fit into the crowd is based on a visual image of a character trying to musically find that place while keeping the urban security around them, with a tape part of different phrases commonly said for the sake of security like: I shouldn’t step too far out of place; It’s better to not take risks; Art beware, everything has been done."
